The Beginning of a Tradition
It all began with Don Cornelio Raygoza, who planted not only agaves, but a passion that he turned into a legacy. His dedication and love for the land marked the beginning of a family tradition that endures to this day.
His son, Don Leocadio "Don Cayo" Raygoza, took over along with his wife Ma. Mercedes Sánchez, consolidating the second generation of agave growers. Don Cayo perfected the selection of agaves, starting a lineage that continues today with plants descended from those first selections.

Today, the descendants of Don Leocadio Raygoza have taken that legacy to the next level, founding Compañía Tequilera Don Cayo, the distillery that represents the perfect balance between tradition and avant-garde, between respect for the land and passion for creating authentic tequilas, with identity and soul.
A tribute to those who gave us origin and a promise to keep alive the flame of excellence and commitment to quality that characterizes us.
